The TechGuidr Method

How we work

Clarify · Decide · Construct · Prove · Compound

This is how TechGuidr works and creates value on every engagement, whatever the lane or offer. We answer the questions in this order, measured in your numbers, with one senior lead accountable from first call to production.

01

Clarify

We find out what is true about your business before anyone spends money: where the value is, what you already own, what it costs you today.

What it means

Establish the facts before anyone spends money: where the value sits in the data, knowledge or workflows, what the business already owns, what it costs today, what "correct" means here.

What you get

A straight description of their situation in their own numbers, and the effort or decision at stake. The baseline.

What is measured

Baseline recorded and signed off (Value Measurement). Effort at stake, labelled.

02

Decide

We help you make the call with nobody selling to you. Build, buy, use what you have, fix it, or don't.

What it means

Make the decision with someone independent in the room: build, buy, use what you own, fix, renegotiate, stop, or not yet. Alternatives written down and why they were set aside. No money from anyone but the client.

What you get

A decision they can act on, on record, including "don't".

What is measured

Decision made and documented; avoided or redirected commitment; exposures found.

03

Construct

We build the working thing, from products we already own, to a standard you can run yourselves.

What it means

Build the working thing, starting from products TechGuidr owns, to production quality: retrieval that cites its sources, calculations that are never left to a model, approvals designed in, security and privacy boundaries, cost known.

What you get

Working technology in daily use, that they own and can run without us.

What is measured

Production readiness checklist passed; evaluation score; response time; cost per transaction.

04

Prove

We measure what changed in your numbers, at the end and again 90 days on. If it didn't move, we say so.

What it means

Show what changed, in the same units as the baseline, at close and again at 90 days. If the number did not move, say so and say why.

What you get

A one-page results note they can give their board, and proof they can hold us to.

What is measured

Result versus baseline; 90-day value held.

05

Compound(keep it working and make it worth more)

We keep it working and help you find the next thing worth doing, so the capability stays in your business and keeps earning.

What it means

Keep it working and make it worth more: production support and hypercare, managed service where wanted, the next workflow or product, the next decision before it becomes expensive. Capability stays in the business.

What you get

A senior technologist who stays useful after the invoice, and technology that keeps earning.

What is measured

Usage, quality and cost held over time; support renewal; decisions made per quarter; second engagement.

Straight answers. Working technology. Your numbers, not ours.

Operating Model

What working with TechGuidr should feel like

Written as what the client observes, not as adjectives.

1

The first conversation ends with a straight answer: a route, "not now, here is what to do yourself", or "we're not the right people". Nobody is chased afterwards.

2

Before any money changes hands they have a written scope, a fixed price, the measures that will be baselined, who does the work, and what AI tools will touch their data.

3

Within the first week they have signed off a baseline in their own numbers.

4

They see something working early: a configured product, a retrieval result on their own documents, a fixed query time. Documents describe what exists, not what might.

5

Every week they get a short written update they can forward to their board without editing: done, next, decisions needed, risks, numbers.

6

Bad news arrives within a week of TechGuidr knowing it, with a proposed fix and who pays.

7

The person who scoped it is the person who builds it and signs it off, and they know who covers if that person is away.

8

At the end they have a results note, a runbook, their source and configuration, and a clear "what next", which may be "nothing".

9

Six months later they can say what changed and by how much, and that they were told the truth, including what not to do.

Client Rights & Standards

What every client is entitled to

Every client of TechGuidr is entitled…

01

to a straight answer in the first conversation, including "don't" or "we're not the right people".

02

to know the scope, the price, the measures and the people before paying anything.

03

to know which AI tools will touch their data, and which will not.

04

to a baseline in their own numbers, signed off by them, before work starts.

05

to a weekly written update they can forward without editing.

06

to hear bad news within a week of us knowing it, with a fix and who pays.

07

to the same senior person from first call to sign-off.

08

to advice that nobody else has paid for.

09

to production quality on anything they will rely on, even when the date has to move.

10

to own everything specific to their business, and to run what we built without us.

11

to a results note, a runbook and a clear "what next", which may be "nothing".

12

to be referenced only anonymised, and to say no even to that.

“This is what buying technology advice should always have felt like. Our job is to make sure it does.”

Commercial Commitment

Fixed scope. Fixed price.

We work on fixed-scope, fixed-price engagements. Changes are written down and chosen by you; TechGuidr absorbs its own estimating errors. No time and materials creep, and no money from anyone but you: no vendor commissions, reseller incentives or referral fees.
