Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and the choices you have. No surprises, in keeping with how we work.

Who we are

When we refer to "TechGuidr" in this policy, we mean TechGuidr Ltd, a UK company with its registered office at Spring Avenue, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, England, LE65 2RB, together with this website and any associated services made available through it. TechGuidr Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, under the supervision of the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK. You can reach us at info@techguidr.com.

Our approach to your data

User privacy and data protection are human rights. Personal data is a liability: it should only be collected, processed and stored when genuinely necessary, and protected with adequate security measures. We will never sell, rent or otherwise distribute or make public your personal information.

This website and our internal systems are designed to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

What we collect and why

Contact enquiries. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you provide: your name, organisation, email address and your message. Disclosing them is entirely voluntary, and we use them only for the purposes you sent them: to provide information, make contact, or provide services to you. We do not use them for marketing without your specific consent. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery provider acting as our processor.

Device and usage information. To understand how the site is used and to improve it, we collect information such as pages visited, referrers, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and interactions such as submitting the contact form. This is collected through PostHog (hosted in the EU) and Vercel Web Analytics; Vercel Speed Insights collects anonymous performance measurements. We use this for site analytics and operations, and for no other purpose. We do not run advertising, remarketing or behavioural-advertising tools on this site.

Cookies

Until you choose Accept on the cookie notice, analytics runs without cookies: visits are still counted, but nothing is stored on your device and repeat visits are not linked together. If you accept, PostHog stores a small set of cookies and browser-storage entries (names beginning ph_) so we can recognise return visits, and HubSpot's tracking loads and sets its cookies (including hubspotutk and names beginning __hs) so that if you contact us, your enquiry can be connected to your visit in our customer relationship system. These persist until they expire or you delete them. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights do not use cookies.

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, which also resets your choice on the cookie notice. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, we do not alter our practices in response to them; the cookie notice on this site is the control that matters.

Legal basis and retention

We process enquiry data on the basis of your consent in sending it, our legitimate interests in responding, or steps taken before entering a contract. Analytics with cookies runs only with your consent. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the conversation and any resulting engagement requires, unless you ask us to erase it, and analytics data for the retention period configured with our analytics providers.

Sharing and our processors

We do not sell personal data, and we share it only with the service providers who process it on our instructions: Vercel (site hosting and analytics), PostHog (analytics, EU-hosted), Resend (contact form email delivery), HubSpot (customer relationship management and marketing, on HubSpot's EU data centre) and Microsoft (the cloud services behind our back-office systems, including email). When you send us an enquiry, it is recorded in HubSpot so we can manage the conversation properly. Each provider is bound by its own data-processing terms, and all traffic between this website and your browser is encrypted over HTTPS.

We may also disclose personal information where required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a lawful request such as a subpoena or search warrant, or to protect our rights.

Data breaches

We will report any unlawful data breach of this website's systems or of any of our third-party processors to all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, where feasible.

Minors

This site is not intended for minors and we do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

External links and social media

This site links to external websites, including our LinkedIn presence. We take care to link only to relevant, reputable destinations, but we cannot guarantee the content of other websites, and anything you do there is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy. We will never ask for personal or sensitive information through social media; if you want to discuss something sensitive, use email or the contact form.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, updated or erased, to port it to another service, to object to our processing, and to withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time. Email info@techguidr.com and we will deal with it directly. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of how we handle your information, tell us and we will investigate and, where necessary, put things right and take steps to stop it happening again. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

This policy may change from time to time in line with legislation, the services we use, or how the site works. We will not notify you of every change; check this page occasionally. All electronic correspondence with us, including email, is subject to the terms of this privacy notice.

Policy last updated: August 2026. Questions about any of this: info@techguidr.com or the contact page.
