Scope and boundaries
- The £15,000 entry point is for a bounded build or configuration of an established solution pattern.
- Larger bespoke builds are scoped separately, in phases. Data preparation, integrations and assurance affect scope.
- Hosting, model usage, third-party licences and ongoing support are identified separately in the proposal.

Cloud, private or local: the workload decides
Not every AI workload needs the largest cloud model, and not every workload should send sensitive data outside the business. We design across cloud frontier models, smaller cloud models, privately hosted models, local inference and hybrid routing, matched to the job: internal knowledge, document processing, sensitive workflows, predictable high-volume tasks, or low-latency and offline requirements.
Optional production support
Ongoing support is available for systems we take into production: model and runtime changes, monitoring, output quality and evaluation, retrieval and index health, cost and routing, data-source updates, incidents and small enhancements. Scoped and priced with the build. This is production stewardship for what we built, and never a helpdesk.

Questions before you commit
Do we own the software?
The agreement distinguishes client-specific work, existing TechGuidr products and third-party components. It records ownership, licence rights and source access before the build begins.
Who keeps it running?
Handover establishes the operating responsibilities. Your team can take them on with agreed access and documentation, or commission a separate support arrangement with defined hours and exclusions.
Should we build AI search or an AI agent?
Search with cited sources suits questions answered from your own documents. An agent suits work that takes several steps and actions. Some problems need neither, and the scoping says so.
Should we build or buy, for example Microsoft Copilot or Glean?
Where an existing product does the job, we recommend it, even though that means no build for us. Where it does not, we say why and what a build would cost.
How do you know an AI agent is working?
Before it goes live we agree acceptance criteria and test it against real cases, including the ones it should refuse. In production we monitor output quality, cost and the decisions people override.
