Recover stalled programmes and cut platform costs
Diagnose and fix technology, data and AI that is late, expensive, unreliable or stuck, whether the cause sits in the platform, the data or the way the work around it is run. That includes the performance, reliability and cost of Azure and Databricks platforms.
Something is slow, expensive, broken or stuck, or the team can't agree what the problem is?
A failed deployment, a slow Databricks workload, growing Azure costs or data pipelines that keep breaking. We examine the logs, architecture, configuration and delivery constraints to establish the cause and agree the recovery priorities.
The initial review produces findings and a recovery recommendation. It can identify a targeted fix, a process change, a contract issue or a reason to stop investing.
Hands-on recovery follows as separately agreed phases with acceptance criteria. The scope distinguishes diagnostic work from implementation so the entry fee does not imply an entire programme will be repaired.
Beyond the technology
When the technology may not be the problem
Programmes and platforms end up late, expensive, unreliable, fragmented, stuck, overcomplicated or short of the value they promised. The symptom is usually visible in the technology. The cause can sit as easily in how the work around it is owned, decided and delivered. We get beneath the symptoms and establish the root cause, with evidence, before anything else is spent.

- The technology itself
We fix the technology, data, AI and operating-model constraints that hold a growing business back. Our remit is where business outcomes meet technology, data, AI and the operating model around them, not general business turnaround.
Who this is built for
- Teams dealing with repeated production failures
- Organisations with Azure or Databricks performance, cost or reliability problems
- Businesses whose data pipelines or integrations cannot be relied on
- Leaders responsible for a stalled or over-running delivery programme
What you receive
- Diagnostic findings, with the evidence and remaining uncertainty
- A prioritised set of recovery options and indicative effort
- A proposed baseline and acceptance criteria for subsequent work
- A clear position on what to change, investigate further or stop
Typical investment
Fixed scope, fixed price
Know what the answer costs before we start. All figures ex VAT; the final fixed fee is confirmed after scoping.
- Root-cause review
- from £10,000
- Larger or multi-system diagnosis
- scoped separately
- Delivery and recovery phases
- fixed phases, priced after the review
What we need from you
- Symptoms, incident history, running costs and the business impact
- Agreed read access to relevant systems, logs and configuration
- System owners, existing suppliers and authority for any subsequent changes
Scope and boundaries
- The starting fee of £10,000 covers a root-cause review, not the recovery implementation.
- Changes to production require their own agreed scope, access, acceptance and rollback plan.
- Urgent incident response and out-of-hours cover must be specifically agreed; they are not implied by an enquiry.

Technology and platform problem solving
Architecture, performance, programme and platform recovery, data problems, root-cause diagnosis. The work on this page.
AI rescue and economics
Token and API spend, model choice and routing, RAG and retrieval quality, agent behaviour, latency, reliability and value. Every workload ends up scaled, optimised, redesigned or stopped.

- Symptom
- Dashboard queries taking four to five seconds; users exporting to spreadsheets instead
- Root cause
- An unnecessary middleware layer re-aggregating on every request
- Options
- Add a cache, remove the redundant middleware, or rebuild. Test the smaller change against the required response time first.
- Recommendation
- Remove the middleware; query direct to the analytics layer
- Acceptance test
- Measure query times before and after the change against an agreed threshold

Questions before you commit
Does £10,000 include the fix?
It is the starting fee for diagnosis. The review establishes the cause, options and proposed recovery scope. Implementation is priced as separate phases.
Can you work with our existing supplier?
Yes, where access and responsibilities can be agreed. The purpose is to understand the problem and resolve it, with changes and decisions recorded.
Why is our Databricks bill rising?
Common causes are clusters that run longer or larger than the work needs, jobs that reprocess data they could read incrementally, missing auto-termination and costs with no owner. The diagnosis shows which apply to you and what each is costing.
Should we rescue a failing programme or restart it?
That is what the diagnosis is for. It sets out the cause, what recovery would take and what a restart would cost, so the choice rests on evidence.
Which platforms do you work with?
Mainly Microsoft Azure and Databricks, and the data pipelines, applications and AI systems built on them.
